Due to the many months that I have been out of touch with the world of music, I have missed many good songs and artists.
The newest album that I have purchased is Deeper Than Rap by Rick Ross. To rate this album and begin my new segment "
Album of the WEEK," I would give it a 6.5 out of 10 for a few reasons.
1) There are only 6 songs, out of 14, on the album, because of this the album lacks something that many good albums have, depth. Because of the lack of good songs, the album doesn't have keep my attention long enough to listen to the entire thing.
2) Some songs feel empty, like no time was put into the making of them, and the only songs that actually appeal to me are the ones that have popular artists featured, which should not be the case. Being featured in a song of a popular artist like Rick Ross should increase you exposure, but this can only happen if the song is worth listening to, which is not exactly the case in this album.
